Job Description:
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of corporate governance policies and procedures
- Maintain corporate records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Monitor compliance with legal and compliance guidelines and obligations
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on the company
- Assist in the preparation of reports and disclosures for regulatory agencies
- Serve as a point of contact for directors, senior management, and external stakeholders on governance matters
- Communicates effectively and professionally on behalf of the organization, ensuring that the company’s messages and positions are clearly conveyed to the public, media, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal studies, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in corporate secretarial role in the financial institution
- Previous experience in corporate governance, legal and compliance, or a similar role preferred
- Strong understanding of corporate law and regulatory requirements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
