Corporate Secretary

Job Description:

  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of corporate governance policies and procedures
  • Maintain corporate records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Monitor compliance with legal and compliance guidelines and obligations
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on the company
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and disclosures for regulatory agencies
  • Serve as a point of contact for directors, senior management, and external stakeholders on governance matters
  • Communicates effectively and professionally on behalf of the organization, ensuring that the company’s messages and positions are clearly conveyed to the public, media, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal studies, or a related field
  • 10 years of experience in corporate secretarial role in the financial institution
  • Previous experience in corporate governance, legal and compliance, or a similar role preferred
  • Strong understanding of corporate law and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
